a week in pictures

Hey guys!  So, as I was in bed, falling asleep last night, I had one of those panic-stricken moments where I realized: tomorrow is Friday, and I hadn’t done a Sugarlaws post!

I’m obviously a little bit behind the ball (I’m still blaming the bar exam, at least through the last 36 hours of March) but just in case you think I’ve been loafing around for the past week, here are a few pictures of what’s been happening!  You might have seen some of these already on Instagram (I use “Sugarlaws” as my user name if you want to follow me!) but many are new too!

{Above: Chad and I went to David Yurman’s event in support of the American Cancer Society}

{…where I drooled over pretty baubles like these}

{I bought a Celine bag!  More on that later — it’s a bit of a saga, and I want to tell you guys all about it, so I think it deserves its own post, coming up soon!}

{I painted my nails hot pink!  This is Essie Pink Parka}

{I was invited to the Hats Off to Mothers Luncheon, a terrific charity event thrown by the Easter Seals!  My mother-in-law loaned me this super-glam hat, and I had a great table of Monica [1], Magen [2], Veronica [3] and Annina [4]!}

{Katsuya opened in Houston!  It’s crazy crowded, but totally delicious.  We ate yellowtail with jalapeno…}

{…and I wore this!}

{I am SO excited to be a brand ambassador for Mark. [5] Can’t wait to show you guys more of their amazing products!}

{My friend Shannon (who is having a baby girl in three weeks!) and I went to the Heroes and Handbags charity auction — hearing stories about kids battling cancer takes your breath away, and I was very happy to pull out my credit card to buy an amazing bag for a great cause.}

{This one!  Ok, I actually bought three — but they’re all for charity.  I love this beautiful Oscar De La Renta purse, but it’s going to be a challenge to make it age-appropriate for me.  I’d love any suggestions!  Even if I end up handing it off to my mom, still money well spent, I think.}

{Last but not least, found these babies this morning at T.J. Maxx for $24!  I’ve been looking for something like this forever, so this was a really exciting (and shockingly affordable!) find.}
