beauty: pillow rollers

It is a universal fact of life that all straight-haired girls want curly hair, and all curly-haired girls want straight hair.

I sort of consider myself part of both of those categories.  My hair is naturally wavy, but not very (this old post [1] is about what it does if I don’t straighten or curl it), so I tend to go to one extreme or the other.

Straightening my hair takes the least time and lasts the longest, so that tends to be my default.  This [2] pricey but amazing flatiron is my go-to product — in cost-per-use, it’s worth every penny.

But I was ordering a few things from CVS a few days ago, and on a whim I added these [3] to my cart.  For $11.99, I figured they were worth a try — and I think I’m going to get a lot of use out of them.  They were super easy to use, and I didn’t get the crinkle that I sometimes get with regular curlers.

Above are the during- and after-roller shots — what do you guys think?  What’s your go-to styling method?
