Want to know the easiest, healthiest way to eat a popsicle? Make it out of applesauce!
After moving this weekend, I wasn’t up to cooking anything complicated, but I still wanted fun things on hand for all the friends and family who came by our house this weekend! Enter: the popsicle molds that I’d totally forgotten I’d even bought, a few tablespoons of chocolate chips, and the amazing GoGo squeeZ applesauce packets! Super healthy and absolutely delicious. Even better? You could make these out of any of GoGo squeeZ’s flavors (I think the new AppleCherry flavor would be perfect as a chocolate-dipped variation, yum)!
Before you forget, make sure you sign up for your GoGo squeeZ kickball at PassthePlay.com, and be sure to tweet #passtheplay for GoGo squeeZ to donate $1 to the Fresh Air Fund! An amazing cause from an awesome company — I know you guys will want to support them as much as I do!
GoGo squeeZ Pops

1/4 cup chocolate chips
Layer GoGo squeeZ applesauce and chocolate chips in Popsicle molds. Allow to freeze for at least four hours. Run Popsicle molds under warm water to release from molds, and serve! Preferably outdoors, with your new Pass the Play kickball!

When we were thinking about where to move, one of the things that was crucial to me was that we pick someplace warmer than New York! Even though I grew up on the East Coast, I’m such a summer girl at heart — I had to slog through the winters just to get to summer, and finally get to enjoy being outside again! So it’s a huge relief to live somewhere that’s warm about 10 months of the year (and insanely hot 2 months of the year, but who’s counting)?
So I’m particularly happy that GoGo squeeZ is encouraging everyone to get outside and play this summer! Their “Pass the Play” campaign encourages everyone across the country to get outside, have fun, and then “pass the play” on to someone else who needs some fun in their life! So I’m passing it on to you guys!
Here’s what you can do to get involved!
- Email firstname.lastname@example.org to request a “Pass the Play” ball and play the largest game of catch. 10,000 kick balls are being distributed nationwide, so people can enjoy the simple goodness of play and then pass that play to someone they know that needs some play in their life. Everyone will be entered to win fun prizes by tracking the kick balls at www.PassthePlay.com.
- Tweet #passtheplay to @GoGosqueeZ and $1 will be donated to @FreshAirFund with the goal of raising $25,000, which will allow more inner-city boys and girls to participate in programs that can change the course of a child’s life.
- Visit GoGo squeeZ at the “Pass the Play” mobile playground, which is visiting 10 cities across the country. Locations are available at PassthePlay.com and on GoGo’s Facebook page!
I hope you guys all join in! I got my kickball today, and can’t wait to break it out in our new backyard!
And now I have something for you guys — the chance to try some yummy GoGo squeeZ products for yourself!
Just leave a comment below, and five random winners will receive a four-pack of GoGo squeeZ! I can’t wait for you all to try it!

I’ve recently been on a major breakfast kick — not necessarily a healthy breakfast kick, but at least I eat *something* in the morning, and don’t just wait until 2 pm lunch to try to squeeze (no pun intended) some food in! (Today it was ice cream… no judgments, ok?)
So I was particularly excited to be asked to work with fabulous and healthy applesauce brand, GoGo squeeZ! They have the cutest containers of squeezeable applesauce that are all natural, 100% fruit, grown in farms an orchards that care about the environment — oh, and gluten, dairy, and nut free. Basically, everything that your food should be and rarely is. If you guys have kids, this is the perfect thing to throw in your bag (or their lunchbox) for a daytime snack!
And even if you’re an adult, applesauce is still deliciousl I used their apple mango flavor for this recipe and it was so good. They’ve just announced their new packaging over on their Facebook page, so be sure to look for it in your grocery store!
And once you find it, make this!
Raspberry Mango Applesauce Parfait
1 package GoGo squeeZ Apple Mango
~6 ounces vanilla or plain greek yogurt (I used nonfat)
1/2 cup fresh raspberries
1 tsp powdered sugar, to garnish
Layer approximately 4 ounces of greek yogurt in the bottom of a single-size serving dish. Spoon over it about 1/4 cup fresh raspberries, reserving some of the prettiest ones to garnish. Squeeze one package of GoGo squeeZ Apple Mango over the raspberries, then pour on the remaining yogurt (reserve 1 tbsp) and add the additional 1/4 cup raspberries. Spoon out 1 tablespoon of additional yogurt and a few raspberries on top, and dust on some powdered sugar. Serve!
