I love the idea of “moody florals” as a trend — think those black, maroon and green floral dresses you’ve seen, but when I’m shopping, I still always gravitate towards the bold, bright shades. It’s funny to think that only a few years ago, jeans were blue and maybe black, and nothing else. It’s even crazier to think that a few years before that, jeans so unflattering that we now refer to them as “mom jeans,” which my mother wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole.
But jeans have come a long way from humble origins, and this pair is my new favorite! Bold splashes of color, a completely unique print, and flattering to boot? Love.
You guys probably remember almost this same outfit, which I styled for the cold for NYFW here — but I wanted you to see how I’d wear it for Spring as well! Replace the leather jacket with a tank, lose the hat, and strap on some platform sandals, and you’re totally prepared for those up-and-down spring temperatures.
7 For All Mankind jeans, Celine bag, By Boe necklaces (available here and here), Jimmy Choo Abel pumps.

I love it when bloggers show their Halloween costumes, and although mine isn’t a DIY or anything homemade, I figured it would still be fun to show what I wore!
I went to a local Houston costume store a few days before Halloween, and I was ready for everything to be completely picked over. And yet, it was pretty awesome! So I figured I’d show a couple of photos, just in case they give you inspiration for next year!
And obviously a crucial component in this costume is curls! I love the Paul Mitchell Curls products, and was so excited to use them in this outfit! This week, if you submit a #CurlConfression on Twitter or Instagram, your picture may be released as a live billboard slideshow in New York! Check out the Paul Mitchell Facebook page if you want more details on attending! And either way, you can enter on the Curl Confession page for a chance to win the entire line of products!

I was seventeen years old the last time that I lived in an actual house.
Not an apartment, not a dorm, a real house with a garage and attic and guest bedrooms and a living and dining room that were not the same thing.
It’s a little weird. It somehow feels very grown up to have a mortgage and a house — but I am slowly getting used to it. I’m so excited for all the decorating and little updates we’ll be doing (hello, closet chandelier, where have you been all my life?!), I can’t wait for Calvin and Coco to explore our backyard, and I feel so lucky and grateful to have found a place we’ll stay for the next decade (or two).
How crazy is that?
