First of all, I want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who participated in this week’s Simple Skincare Twitter party! It was a major success — we were the #2 trending topic on Twitter for the whole country, and gave out fifteen Simple Skincare gift baskets! I was so thrilled to get to chat with all of you guys who tuned in.
But for those of you who didn’t, I wanted to write about some of the tips we discussed!
First, even though the weather is getting colder, don’t forget that you still need SPF! I feel like I get a gold star from my dermatologist whenever I tell her that I wear minimum SPF 15 every day (Simple Skincare Vital Vitamin Day Cream), even if I’m just going outside for a few minutes! An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, and this is a tiny thing that makes a huge difference!
Second, don’t forget about what goes into your body! Great, glowing skin isn’t just about products on your face — it’s also about making sure you drink enough water and eat fruits and vegetables with antioxidants and healthy fats. One of my healthy tricks is buying fresh olives and keeping them in our fridge — when I get home from work, I eat a few for a boost of healthy fat that makes me less hungry as the night goes on.
Third, a good cleanser is the workhorse of your skincare routine! Choose a gentle one like Simple Skincare Refreshing Facial Wash Gel — and remember to take off all your makeup every night!
