I tweeted from @CameraGirlK – still learning about this twitter stuff. Makes me feel old to not quite get it.  Ha!

i watched the video. 50% of the pesticides you’ll be exposed to in your entire life are consumed in the first 5 years. how scary is that?

  • 3 emily // Aug 23, 2010 at 7:11 am

I am really glad you did not include a photo of your sister enjoying this yogurt!  It was fabulous, though!  I love Greek yogurt, and I love Stonyfield!  What a fabulous combination!!!!!

Great yogurt!  I learned that the health of the cows was improved by going organic, and not administering the hormones, antibiotics, etc.  And that the farmer loves his cows!  :)

I learned that Washington state has only one organic raspberry farm.  If we start eating more organic foods farmers will start organic farming more and they will become more readily available.

  • 6 Laura // Aug 23, 2010 at 10:58 am

So farming raspberries organically does not equal farming apples organically — makes you appreciate how much effort organic farmers put into making sure their crops are both healthy for us and sustainable for them.

I love greek yogurt! I was also surprised by the pesticide thing.

I learned that they’re the #1 organic yogurt maker in the world.  I guess that makes sense because they’re one of the only ones I see, but I also didn’t realize that Oikos was a Stonyfield brand!

  • 13 Yuya // Aug 23, 2010 at 3:19 pm

I love Greek yogurt, but never tried Stonyfield/Oikos. I’ll check it out next time I’m at Whole Foods.

I always get Oikos yogurt instead of some of the others.  One I love Stonyfield, so I always buy their produnts, but too, greek yogurt is way better in baked goods than regular!

  • 32 Lawyer Loves Lunch // Aug 25, 2010 at 6:57 am

Yay!  I eat an Oikos as an afternoon snack everyday!  I learned that they’re the #1 organic yogurt maker (probly cause of people like me eating it everyday) :)

  • 33 Willy // Aug 25, 2010 at 8:01 am

Recently made the switch to greek yogurts after reading about how much better it is for you. I’ve tried several different brands and LOVE Oikos. They have definitely nailed down that perfect creamy (but not too thick) texture. So far the blueberry is my favorite but I’m looking forward to trying caramel now that I know about it!

  • 34 Pamela M // Aug 25, 2010 at 9:58 am

I love plain Oikos with some honey, fresh blueberries, and some granola.  SO YUMMY!

  • 35 micaela // Aug 25, 2010 at 11:55 am

I love Greek yogurt. Too bad I live in Canada! :(

  • 37 bianca // Aug 26, 2010 at 8:02 am

Greek yogurt is amazing. period. My mother used to despise yogurt, but ever since I introduced her to the greek stuff, she’s fallen in love and has lost 16 pounds simply by eating more yogurt!

  • 38 Katie // Aug 26, 2010 at 12:35 pm

I love the Caramel Stonyfield Greek yogurt! I eat it as a dessert with granola! It’s very filling too!
