I sort of overdid it on buying maternity clothes, even though I hated them. Case in point: these white jeans.
First of all, I was pregnant in Texas from August to April -- the middle of the winter, or, at least, as much of a winter as Houston gets. I got to my eighth month of pregnancy and realized that these bargain jeans I'd picked up from ASOS at month three had been worn exactly once.
Sure, they put in an appearance at New York Fashion Week. But outside of that day, I'd never worn them. So, with weeks left before the baby arrived, I figured I might as well try to cobble together a cute outfit with them.
And you know what? This was actually one of my favorite pregnancy outfits. (I only wish I'd discovered it a few months earlier!) Loose and flowy on the top, but streamlined and chic on the bottom -- the perfect outfit for my then-giant bump, but also something I'd totally wear now while my body is still working on snapping back into shape.
Also, I'm finally finished writing up my birth story! Look for it on Wednesday!
ASOS maternity jeans (similar non-maternity styles here and here), Feel the Piece top (old, similar style here), Brahmin Ophelia bag, Carolee necklace and bracelet, Jimmy Choo heels.
