new york fashion week: day five

And you thought Kim Kardashian was my most amazing moment of yesterday!

That’s me!  (On the left, obviously!)

I was slotted in at the last minute to fill this seat at the Jenny Packham show, and to my incredible shock, once I’d gotten myself settled, I was two seats down from Mandy Moore!  She was so beautiful, and so, so sweet — a lot of the time, the front row celebs will book it out of a show the second that it’s over, but she stuck around (longer than I did!) to take pictures with fans, and was so giggly and sweet about it to everyone who asked her.

And the show: Unbelievable.  Now that Kate Middleton has been spotted in Jenny Packham a half dozen times, she’s become a household name in a way that she wasn’t back in February.  But there’s a reason hers was one of my favorite shows last season — these beautiful, impeccably detailed gowns are so wearable that you almost can’t believe they’re formalwear.  They’re the kind of dresses that the girl of the hour slips into to feel comfortable and incredibly elegant, and I’m dying to own one of my own someday!

It was actually an amazing day overall: the Rachel Roy presentation was just gorgeous (for some reason, I thought the presentation was for Rachel Rachel Roy, their lower priced line, and I couldn’t believe clothing that gorgeous was so affordable, sigh) — beautifully crafted, basic, and the kind of pieces you splurge on once and then wear two hundred times.

I had a blast hanging out with my favorite girls at the Walter presentation, which was on the roof of the Empire Hotel at sunset and couldn’t have been more stunning.  And I made it back to the tents for Perry Ellis, another menswear line with the ingenious idea of sending shirtless male models down the runway in large quantities.  (For some reason, there’s been a lot of male model abs this NYFW!) I also darted into a beauty lounge run by one of my sponsors, DDF [1], for a skincare touchup and a blowout!  Not a bad day, if I do say so myself.

On me: Zara dress (last seen here [2]), Sophie Theallet for Nine West heels (last seen here [3]), Dior bag, borrowed Ippolita bracelets, Hermes enamel bracelet.
