Over the last few weeks, I think I’ve officially “popped” — it’s now pretty darn obvious that I’m pregnant!  This is actually the same dress as I wore in my 15-Week update [1], but in a different color (it was $8 from Forever 21 and I couldn’t help myself!) and you can really see how much I’ve grown just in the last month!

Overall, I’m still feeling pretty good, but the little bowling ball I’m carrying around my belly has started to cause some discomfort — it’s much harder for me to bend over, lean down, stay on my feet too long, all that stuff.  But I’ve had such an easy pregnancy so far that I can’t really complain — and it’s starting to feel like time is just flying by!  Everyone says that these nine months go by quickly, but to be honest, I didn’t feel that way *at all* for the first half.  There was the looong wait before we told people, the long wait before we found out the gender, the long wait before I was showing, and so many others — nine months is a long time!  But now that it’s almost the end of 2013, I’m definitely feeling like the end is in sight.  He’s kicking up a storm, which is by far my favorite thing about being pregnant.  Lots of people say that they love the baby right away, but for me, it’s definitely grown as I’ve gotten further along.  But now that he’s kicking and moving and generally reminding me of his presence on an hour-to-hour basis, he’s becoming so much more real to me, and it’s an awesome, awesome feeling.

How far along? 20 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss: About 13 pounds.  Still pretty steady!

Maternity clothes? Just pants.

Stretch marks? Nope.

Symptoms: A few more — some back pain, some balance issues.  Nothing too crazy or unexpected — no bad abdomen cramps since that last one, so hopefully that was just a fluke!

Sleep: Getting tougher.  I fall asleep ok but staying asleep is tough.

Best moment this week: Getting the nursery set up!  We have to wait until February for the glider I ordered (it’s being custom-made), but everything else is almost done!  I love going in there and just looking at it — it turned out so pretty!

Worst moment of the week: I know there are bad moments, but somehow I never remember them when I’m writing these up.  It’s overall been a pretty good week!

Have you told family and friends: Yes!

Miss Anything? Wine, lol.  I’m pretty used to not drinking at this point, but I miss it at holiday parties!  Oh well — next year!

Movement: Lots!  I read that you’re supposed to feel ten movements in two hours, but this little guy is more like ten movements in ten minutes!  I *love* feeling the kicks — it’s my favorite part of being pregnant so far.

Food cravings: Christmas cookies. :-)

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope!

Have you started to show yet: I’ve been saying that I’m “showing” for weeks now, but at this point I really am.  It’s pretty fun!

Labor Signs: Nope

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!

Looking forward to: Wrapping up a busy and extremely life-changing 2013, and getting on top of all our projects for next year!
