Finally!  The weather dipped below seventy today, so I got to actually break out a few fall clothes (don’t worry, though — it will be back in the eighties by the end of the week).  I came back from our vacation with a terrible cold (actually, I was sick pretty much the entire trip), so a day in some comfy basics was definitely overdue.

I’ve never been much of a hat-girl, but I’m pretty sure that was just because I’ve never owned one as beautiful as the one that Eric Javitz sent me — it kind of makes me want to wear them all the time!  Think of basically any hat you’ve ever seen in a fashion editorial — and it’s probably his. And this bag is the perfect fall basic — it literally goes with everything in my closet. 

These jeans are an exclusive color from J. Brand ^[1], and the proceeds benefit City Year, a nonprofit that uses education-based initiatives to prevent high school students from dropping out of school — a really cute (and comfy!) pair of jeans for a terrific cause.  And the pin I’m wearing (you can see it best in the last photo) is sold by Kenneth Cole to benefit AIDS research — you can pick them up in stores starting today!
