style: feed guatemala bags

It seems like overnight, FEED bags are suddenly everywhere.  After seeing them from Whole Foods to Bergdorf’s, I thought they were a great cause, but (unfortunately) not particularly fashion-forward.  So when I found out that the bags were branching out into equally-socially conscious but colorful and chic designs, I was curious to learn more.

I went to the launch party for Feed Guatemala bags, and was truly impressed. ┬áThe bags are adorable, and the money donated to UNICEF when each one is purchased goes to provide nutritional supplements for children under the age of five in Guatemala.  Sales of the smaller bag ($19) will provide these supplements for one child for a year, and sales of the larger bag ($39) will provide supplements for three children for a year.  The bags are sold exclusively at Lord & Taylor, and you can buy them online here [2].  I received a bag at the event, and I can’t wait to carry it!

Check out more photos from the event below — including me with co-founder Lauren Bush!  I forgot my good camera, so this picture from my iphone does neither of us justice, but she was absolutely lovely.  Learn more about FEED here [3].
