When I was invited to preview Tiffany’s 2010 collection this week, I thought long and hard about whether or not to go.
Ok, that’s a lie. I think I RSVPed in four seconds flat. Because there is something that makes girls go giddy and squeal-y when they imagine being placed in a room with millions of dollars of diamonds.
Am I exaggerating? No. There was a single necklace worth seven million dollars. I felt like if there happened to be a jewel heist that night, I might have needed a really good alibi. Because the second I saw that thing, all I could think was jewel heist.
But that necklace is now safe and sound in whatever vault I assume it lives in, and I’m left drooling over these photographs. The whole event did Tiffany’s proud, with little blue macarons, little blue cupcakes, and little blue Tiffany & Co. napkins. Oh, and our own little blue boxes (sterling silver earrings) to take home at the end of the night.
Oh, and by the way, Chad, if you’re reading, you know what would make an excellent First Anniversary present? Any of those cocktail rings below. I’m told they start at $20,000. In contrast, it seemed like a perfectly reasonable amount.
Splendid dress, BCBG necklace, Tiffany earrings.
