I never wore glasses growing up, but a few years ago, I noticed that I was having a lot of trouble seeing things far away. (I blame too many long days of staring at a computer screen…) And when I decided to get my eyes checked for the first time since grade school, I made an appointment at Lenscrafters .
But Chad intervened — he told me that if I was getting my eyes checked, I had to have them dilated, and get checked for glaucoma, all the steps. And because I didn’t know any better and assumed he was right, I cancelled the appointment and went to a separate eye doctor instead.
So when I was invited last week to Lenscrafters’ Semi Annual Sale , I figured I’d finally get to see the difference between their eye test and what the doctor had done.
And the difference? Not much. Lenscrafters had state-of-the-art equipment that tested my vision perfectly without dilating my eyes, which was the biggest difference and a huge improvement. And yes, they check you for cataracts and glaucoma and all the other steps.
And with that taken care of, I moved on to the fun part: each of us got to take home an amazing pair of prescription sunglasses. I picked these Chanel stunners and am seriously in love. Does it get any cuter?
And as an added bonus, now I can read street signs that are more than a block away! It’s pretty much the best thing that’s happened to me since iPhone GPS. Between those two, I’m never getting lost again.
(Or if I do, at least it’ll be in style!)
