Growing up, I was always such a summer girl — I loved those summer months more than anything in the world, and winter was basically just three brutal months of misery. When Chad and I were thinking about where to move after we left New York, I had one firm rule: we were going somewhere warm.
But Texas summer is a little different than those New England summers I grew up with (and so are Texas winters, very happily) and I have to admit that I’m a little relieved now that August has finally come to an end. It’ll still be warm here for another few months (I’ll get plenty more use out of this gorgeous dress!), and there’s nothing as nice as those first crisp fall days… even if we don’t get them until October.
And speaking of Texas, after a lot of back and forth to New York, I’m excited to finally have a long stretch of time after NYFW is over! Living out of a suitcase can be a little draining — one more week and then it’s home sweet home for good!
