Chad and I have three weddings in the month of June, which is more weddings than I’ve been to in a single month for my entire life.  Add in bridal showers, rehearsal dinners and post-wedding brunches, and needless to say, with the first one days away, I’m freaking out a little bit over what to wear.

I bought this dress almost a month ago, just as the weather started to turn warm, and I promised myself I would save it for one of these upcoming weddings (there’s something so fun about wearing a new dress for the first time, and I try not to spoil it by doing something ordinary like going out for dinner or to a play).  So I think this is the dress for my brother-in-law’s wedding in North Carolina this weekend!  After lazing away in our air-conditioned apartment for most of Memorial Day weekend (watching my newest obsession on television, Party Down), I’m very excited to get out of town — it’s funny how living in New York for seven years can make you appreciate those crazy things like grass and trees that the rest of the world takes for granted.

Wish me luck!  And if anyone has their eyes on a wedding-appropriate dress that you want to pass along, I’m definitely taking suggestions!

Amanda Uprichard dress, Modern Vintage pumps, Nadri earrings and bracelet.

I often wonder why people from the city come upstate where I live and relish in the nothingness, lol. I guess you do take trees and grass for granted when that’s all you’re surrounded with.

Love the blue dress and shoes. Tres chic!

You’re stunning! The colour of the dress is gorgeous. It really suits your skin and hair colour! :)

Although I think this color looks great on you, I don’t think it’s good for a wedding(particularly in the South). It’s too low cut in the front making it better for a night out.

    Thanks guys!

L Bomb, I was thinking about that!  I plan to liberally pin/double-stick-tape it for the big day.

Perfect for a wedding!  Trust me, the numbers will increase as time goes on. It’s inevitable giving our age bracket. Then brace yourself for the never ending list of the baby showers to follow!

Love your hair – it looks particularly amazing in the very first photo.

The dress will be perfect for a wedding once pinned. Great color and length
