What's In My Bag?

This spring has brought me a whole new set of essentials (“What’s In My Diaper Bag?” is its own separate post!) but in the midst of all the baby insanity, I thought it would be fun to showcase a few of my essentials, whether you’re a new mom or not! These are all items I carry with me all the time — if they’re not in my purse, they’re in my car or spread out on my desk.

Skincare/Makeup: I carry the bare minimum with me at all times -- Simple Skincare Radiance Wipes for taking off my makeup or de-greasing my face in a pinch, and my favorite pink shade of lipstick. Especially as Houston days get hotter and more humid, I find myself grabbing makeup wipes when I’m on the go throughout the day — I’d rather have a fresh face than caked-on makeup any day! And an extra swipe of lipstick as I head into a meeting is always a must.

Snacks: Pregnancy and breastfeeding mean that you have to keep yourself nourished at all times, so I’ve started carrying around healthy snacks with me. I know some people like energy bars or nuts, but I found that dried fruit snacks are tastiest. My favorite dried fruits are organic and have fiber and vitamin C.

Last but not least: Twistbands! I’m obsessed with these, they’re so much less damaging for your hair than regular elastics, and they’re actually cute. My favorites are these fashion week ones, with cute blog-related sayings. I always have one or two in my bag!

Again, the diaper bag is a whole separate animal — one that I’ll get to soon! But for now, what are your daily essentials? Anything I’m forgetting?
