Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the ground turkey and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Stir in the garlic, ginger root, and ground ginger and cook for 1 minute more.
Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Add the rice and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 20 minutes or until the rice is cooked through.
Stir in the coconut milk and lime juice and simmer for an additional 5 minutes or until heated through. Serve hot.
