Ingredients
1 pound Korean rice cakes
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/4 cup onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/4 cup gochujang
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey or sugar
1/4 cup water or chicken broth
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 green onions, sliced for garnish
Directions
If using fresh rice cake sticks, proceed with step 2. If using refrigerated rice cake sticks, boil according to instructions on package, about 5 to 10 minutes, until soft.
