cool girl shades

I've always had a love-hate relationship with aviators.
On one hand: I love them. They are the perpetual cool-girl sunglasses, the linear opposite of the giant, oversized styles that I most often gravitate towards. They're the laid-back, low-key shades that still manage to be effortlessly chic.
On the other hand: Sometimes I feel like they look so bad on me! I always think they look great on other people, but when I put them on? Sometimes I chicken out within minutes.
But I'm coming to realize that it's all about finding the right pair. Just like every pair of oversized sunglasses or wayfarers doesn't work on my face, I'm fiercely loyal to the ones that do -- same with aviators, it turns out. This pair from Foster Grant is a little wider than a lot of other pairs I've tried, and the lenses are a little darker -- and somehow, that made all the difference. I love these!
Also some exciting news... I have made some big career changes in the last few weeks! This fall, I am starting my own law practice in Texas! As many of you probably remember, I've been practicing law since I started Sugarlaws back in 2008, and as I've become more experienced, I've started to think about how to make my law career as interesting, challenging, and fulfilling as it can be. I've felt for a long time that this would be my next step, and this summer we finally hit a moment where the timing was right. It's incredibly exciting (and scary!) and I know it's going to be a lot of hard work, but I am thrilled and so grateful to have this opportunity. I'll share more with you guys soon as I get everything set up, but for now, that's my big news!
