Sometimes I try to think about what my “style” can be described as — it’s kind of like the ‘Tell me about yourself’ question during a job interview, totally impossible to answer with any sincerity in the 10-15 words that you’re usually supposed to use. But while I love to experiment, the ‘style’ that I gravitate to most often are easy, comfortable pieces that you can look great in without a ton of fuss. I don’t usually mix patterns, I don’t layer seventeen items at once, I just (hopefully) put together simple, go-to outfits that are actually wearable in real life.
And this is absolutely one of those outfits. Perfect for anything from a casual Sunday brunch to a day trip to the beach a little later in the spring or summer. I love how espadrilles can beach-ify just about anything, and many thanks to Nine West for sending me this adorable pair! They’re actually surprisingly lightweight and, extra surprisingly, really comfortable. I took a major spill in platforms this weekend so I’m trying to be extra careful for a bit, but these are actually possible to walk in.
I went to an event last week for Accessorize’s new Bleeker Street store and it was totally terrific — I picked out this bracelet (which sells for a whopping $10!) and a few other cute pieces that you’ll be seeing soon. They basically had Forever 21 prices but a much better selection — I could have filled up a truck with all their cute little pieces!

I normally like nine west but I don’t really like those shoes. Maybe just a bit too chunky. But you look awesome as does the rest of the outfit.
