I am so, so excited to announce this amazing giveaway!  Breville appliances are a staple in my kitchen, and I’ve never been anything short of thrilled with the quality of their products.  So when they generously offered to sponsor a giveaway on Sugarlaws, I was absolutely thrilled.

So, here’s the deal.  Breville has offered their amazing Five-Quart Stand Mixer to one lucky reader!  To win, you guys have to do two things:

  • First, go to Breville’s Facebook page and “Like” them (and while you’re add it, Like Sugarlaws here!), and,
  • Then, take a look at my food and style archives (here and here) and tell me which of my posts over the last three years was your favorite!  Maybe it’s a recipe you used, or an outfit that made you think about something in your closet a different way, or maybe it was just a little anecdote that made you smile.  If you’re not on Facebook and still want to enter, send an email to breville@sugarlaws.com with your favorite post!

Leave a comment with your favorite post below, and I’ll pick a random winner and announce it on Friday, December 17th!

And one last thing — I forgot to mention it yesterday, but the lovely DANNIJO designers are offering you guys 10% off any purchase with the code SUGARLAWS at checkout!  Enjoy!

Good luck!

I really liked the garlic cumin crackers you had a few years back. Throwback, I know :P

  • 2 Gwen // Dec 10, 2010 at 6:04 am

Most recently, your butternut squash dip inspired me to make that dip for a friend’s bridal shower. Those garlic cumin crackers sound intriguing, too!

You made pita panini’s a couple years ago and my silly self never thought of makinG paninis with pita (and I’m Greek, everything should be on a pita!) So ever since then, panini’s are always on pitas in my house!

This scallop salad looked wonderful and I used the recipe as a base for a similar dish I made over the summer.  I also really liked the Thanksgiving Stuffing recipe.

This is by far the best giveaway I’ve seen.  I’m starting my own pastry company, and have been shopping stand mixers for months!

You have such a great cache of recipes and outfits it’s hard to decide.  But I LOVE the idea of champagne sorbet!  It’s nice to see a recipe that means you don’t have to have an ice cream maker! xoxo

“oven-baked chicken fingers with honey mustard”
My husband loves these and now makes all kinds of dipping sauces to go with them.

  • 14 Jessie // Dec 10, 2010 at 8:25 am

All of your posts are adorable, obviously, but a few of my faves: your forever 21 post (I mean, you know how I feel about F21), and food-wise, I’m gonna go with lemon ginger edamame — and let me tell you why — I eat edamame ALL the time, and NEVER considered adding those touches. Great, easy recipe! This is an amazing giveaway by the way — way to go!!! xo Jessie

One of my favorite posts was your recipe for Raspberry Squares.  They were amazing…and my girlfriends and I had a blast making them together.  Thank you!!

  • 16 Kelsey // Dec 10, 2010 at 9:35 am

One of my favorite style posts was the dinner with Kenneth Cole; I love that you got some great recognition for your blog, and I love it when my favorite blogs are “noticed”..I know its a labor of love and I appreciate it.  I was also inspired by your Parmesan cone appetizers; so pretty and versatile, the cones have endless possibilities for different fillings!  Thanks!

  • 17 Beth // Dec 10, 2010 at 9:35 am

Umm, best giveaway ever! I’ve loved a lot of your recipe posts but I would say my favorite recent-ish post on the blog was from a few weeks ago–“Style–Sheer Blue”–which has definitely encouraged me to play with textures more in my outfits in the weeks since seeing this post!

I loved your “Style: A Bit Old Fashioned” post. I thought it was so awesome that you took the dress your mom wore to your wedding and completely changed the style. It looked so good on you! You are so creative and inventive when it comes to style; you have definitely helped influence my wardrobe!

I stumbled upon your blog when I was looking for a recipe for homemade pasta.

Your whole wheat pasta recipe is an absolute fav, and I’ve used it to make butternut squash raviolis a bunch of times!

  • 24 Tanya R. // Dec 10, 2010 at 12:35 pm

Wow, this is really cool. Thank you for the awesome giveaway!!! I just “liked” on facebook both Sugarlaws & Breville’s pages as well!!!

Since I recently just stumbled upon your lovely blog, I can actually say I’ve become quite the fan & look forward to your new posts!!!!

My favorite post thus far was the the mascara post. It made me laugh and relate in so many ways and want to buy that Dior Mascara ASAP (By the way I’m totally buying one for my mom & mother in law for Christmas this year). We both share two loves: Style & Food and THANK YOU for your lovely posts that just make my day!

  • 25 Carol Bahr // Dec 10, 2010 at 12:43 pm

I subscribe mainly for the recipes, but enjoy looking at your design/style blogs too. This mixer would be such a blessing as I have been trying to figure out how we could afford one for sometime now. My toddler will eat the carrot coins you posted (that means they are REALLY good!) and I am excited to try the butternut squash dip you posted recently. Thanks for the chance to win.

Thanks to your sponsor for offering such a fab giveaway.. as a baker/pastry student…my kitchen aid went kaput..broken..gone, done…

So, that would be a super, duper fab christmas gift to try out a new brand, and replace my broken Kitchen aid… and cos we know…mixers are expensive… having not to shell out a replacement would be fab.

I’m not on facebook though… but I can assure you, if I’m the lucky one, their get major air time.. I mean.. PR… hehe nudge, nudge..

My fav recipe of yours is this one http://www.sugarlaws.com/yule-log

Because your pup is trying so hard to get a bite.. and it looks delish too.

  • 38 Stephanie // Dec 11, 2010 at 11:56 am

My top three favorite recipes are your Apple Onion Tarts, Apple Honey and Goat Cheese Tart and your Blue Cheese Gougeres. (I have a thing for cheese and finger foods) :)

I have taken all of my favorite recipes from your website and compiled them into a recipe book. (which is not a bad idea for you to look into marketing someday!) :D My family definitely doesn’t complain when I experiment in the kitchen with your recipes.

I’m having a college graduation party next weekend and your tarts, gougeres and quail salad will be present. It would be so wonderful if I won that amazing mixer because I am moving out and getting my own place. :)
