A few more photos taken in the gorgeous, gorgeous Houston weather before I head off to freezing temperatures for NYFW!  When Chad and I were thinking about potentially leaving New York, I was adamant that I could never live anywhere colder than Manhattan — for a girl who grew up in New England, I have absolutely no tolerance for cold at all (in high school, I used to wear two pairs of pants just to walk around outside — not exactly stylish, but I needed it for warmth)!  So Texas has been an incredibly wonderful change on that front.

BUT.  Let’s all pay attention to the real star in this post: my hair extensions!  I just got these last week and I’m totally obsessed.  I’ve wanted to try them for such a long time (thank you, The Hills) but I never wanted to spend thousands of dollars (yikes) on the bonded kind.  These, though!  They’re the clip in kind, and they were only $125 at Sally’s and match my hair color perfectly (the same ones are on Amazon here)!  You can see them with other looks on Instagram here, here and here — I wore them nonstop this weekend!  It’s also amazing to be able to take these out during the week (when Barbie hair isn’t exactly professional) and put them in for the weekends.

This dress is from David Peck’s Spring collection — I went into his showroom to pull some looks for the Cotton Runway show, and he so kindly let me borrow this one!  It was my favorite piece that came down the runway during his Houston Fashion Week show, and this is actually the dress from the show!  Don’t worry, I took extra careful care of it. :-)

And last but not least, these shoes!  I found them on sale after Christmas for $280, marked down from $800, and I completely couldn’t resist.  I don’t know how no one else snapped them up, but it’s my gain and their loss!

CrOp by David Peck dress (borrowed), Brian Atwood shoes, Celine bag, Henri Bendel pearl necklace, gifted By Boe gold necklace

Shut up! Those are clip in hair extensions?!! They look SO REAL. I literally was just thinking your hair in this post is EXACTLY how I want my hair to look in real life – then I read the post only to find they’re clip in’s. That’s so awesome. I have a Sally’s right near my work and I’m totally going there on my lunch break today to check them out. I have super thick hair so I’m curious if they’ll look totally fake under my hair or not (like it’ll be obvious where they start and where they end).

Did you have to color them to match your hair or did they just happen to work out perfectly on their own?

Also – that dress!!! Too bad you don’t get to keep it forever and ever. It’s darling on you. I love your brightly colored dress looks (like your maxi in your last post and this one). They look so pretty and natural on you.
