And… the rest of this outfit!

As killer as these sunglasses are, they wouldn’t be complete without the rest of the outift.

I have to say, I’ve spent quite a bit of time wondering if this was a top or a dress, and after looking at these pictures, I’m pretty sure it’s too short to really be considered a dress.

Nonetheless, it’s awfully cute (even though next time I should grab a pair of leggings for underneath)!  I got this top/shirt/dress on sale at BCBG for under $100 about a year and a half ago, and I’ve only worn it out once since then.  When I was looking through my closet for fun, fresh new outfits, I came across this top/shirt/dress and fell instantly in love.

So either way, I’ll be wearing it for many, many seasons to come.  And these heels?  Don’t they have a bit of a Giuseppe Zanotti feel?

They do, right?  And if you guessed that they are 90% cheaper than the shoes he designs, well, you’d be right.  Black and gold is basically my favorite color combination, so it’s particularly nice to have an accessory that pick those up!

BCBG dress, gifted Nine West heels, gifted Chanel sunglasses (via Lenscrafters).

I totally disagree! You pulled it off quite well as a dress! It’s fun and sexy and doesn’t have the feel of being overly exposed…maybe it’s just me but the length is actually just right! Amazing find under $100!

I wouldn’t second-guess the dress-ness of that piece at all – it looks great!  And those shoes are indeed amazing.  A gold heel is always a great touch!

Gorgeous! Just wear it as a dress – I would! (If you feel uncomfortable, throw on some black tights with it.)

wow, you look stunning! i kind of like it without the leggings, given that it’s such a statement piece, plus the drapes around the shoulders really carry the shape. Although, to be fair, I would probably wear with leggings because I’m so clumsy i’d forget i was wearing something so short when i was sitting on the subway etc.. :)

PS the heels also remind me of ones that had a lipstick heel, were those guiseppe zanotti? either way, fanastic shoes!

I may just be a little too risque for my own good (in terms of dress, not lifestyle!), but I think this is PERFECTLY fine as a dress! In fact, I think you could even go an inch or two shorter ;-)

You guys are the best. :-) So it’s totally an appropriate length!  I’ll just keep it in the closet when my parents are in town…

LVOE those heels…they totally have a more expensive look/feel to them. Well done NW.

I don’t think this is TOO short…for a night out on the town…by day- yes a bit too short…but it is more of a party dress anyway.
    You look beautiful as always…C
