Right after I put up this post, I got a really lovely surprise in my Inbox: an email from Juicy Couture, asking to send me a little something for summer! And I was so excited when I opened up the box and found the hat I’d been trying on at their event!
And it went perfectly with this top, which I got for our honeymoon almost two years ago. Chad and I are in serious need of a vacation — we haven’t done a beach trip in forever, ever since Santa Monica was crazily cold after the Emmy’s last August, which turned our sit-by-the-beach vacation into a walk-around-and-eat-a-lot vacation.
I feel like this hat is inspiring me to plan a trip that lives up to it! The moment I put it on, all I wanted was to be sipping a cocktail by the pool for the rest of the afternoon. Not so easy to come by in Manhattan, unfortunately!
But, hey, with the right accessories, a girl can dream…

I have a hat like that, which I wear when I visit Palm Springs and lay by the pool. Otherwise, I haven’t gotten any use out of it. But it’s a fun accessory for when you want to feel effortlessly glamorous – and shield your face from the sun

That’s what they’re best for!
I’m kind of paranoid about sun exposure too (if only I’d never tried tanning in college…), so when hats are cute *and* protect your skin, all the better.
