a little boho

I love, love, love a short dress with long sleeves -- there's something so hippie-chic about it, right? But it's never easy to find that perfect style -- one that's flattering and not overwhelming, keeping the whole look understated.

I found this dress at Topshop, and I'm just waiting for the weather to be warm enough for me to wear it everyday. I know I'm wearing white before Memorial Day, but we just really need spring to come early this year. It's been such a long, cold, miserable winter, and all I'm hoping is that this week, the weather will just shape up for good (at least, until I start complaining about how hot and miserable it is during the summer)! Oh, New York...

This gorgeous bag was sent to me by Ralston Handbags, and I'm obsessed. My mom used to have a vintage bag in a similar woven leather pattern, but somehow over the years it's become my sister's (sigh) and it's pretty safe to say that it'll never make its way into my closet.

My parents joke that I get inordinately jealous whenever Emily gets my mom's hand-me-down clothes (they wear the same shoe size, so it's been going on for years) and they're probably right that I give in to the green-eyed monster a little too readily. But thanks to this bag, with its modern, practical size and super-luxurious leather, I'm pretty satisfied.
