Chocolate Cake Mix Waffles
Chocolate cake mix becomes soft, cocoa-rich waffles, perfect when you want a playful shortcut treat with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients
- 1 pkg Devil's Food Chocolate Cake Mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
Directions
- Heat your waffle iron, using medium heat if your machine gives you that option. Mix the batter as directed on the cake mix package.
- Coat the waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray. Add the amount of batter recommended in your waffle iron’s instructions, then cook for the time your waffle iron specifies. Serve the waffles warm with whatever toppings you like.
- For the optional Nutella sauce, whisk 3/4 cup Nutella with 4 Tbsp milk until smooth, adding more milk if you want it thinner. Warm it in the microwave if you’d like, then drizzle it over the waffles.
- These waffles are also good with sweetened whipped cream and fresh strawberries.
