COVERGIRL lip perfection: days 1 and 2

So, remember a few days ago when I told you I had two fabulous COVERGIRL projects coming up? This is the start of the second!

I was super excited when we decided on the details for this, because how much fun does it sound? I tried out the entire line of COVERGIRL's Lip Perfection lipsticks and picked my seven favorites -- then I chronicled my week by each day's lipcolor!

I was particularly excited about this project because the Lip Perfection is healthy (not just pretty!) for your lips, and my lips were in rough shape after this very long, miserable winter. I ended up reapplying chapstick a dozen times a day because my lips were just so damaged. I did COVERGIRL's suggested "lip cleanse" and went without lip products for 48 hours before the week started, and I did a homemade lip scrub using raw sugar at the same time.

For Day One, I actually started with yesterday's Kate Spade dress, which I paired with a pink shade of Lip Perfection in "Feline." This is actually a shade I tried a long time ago, and it quickly became the lipstick I threw into my purse every morning. I love that it gives that pink glow without being too dramatic or bubblegum-y -- the perfect ladylike shade to pair with this very ladylike dress!

Day Two, unfortunately, was rainy and totally disgusting. Usually I would just abandon all hope of photos in weather like that, but last week I had no choice -- I tucked my digital camera into the entryway of our roofdeck and ventured out with an umbrella. I'm wearing Lip Perfection in "Delish" in the photo below, which was the perfect base shade for an understated look. Somehow I can never go bold with my lipstick when it's raining out!
