drugstore beauty favorites!

As much as I love luxe products, some of my absolute favorite, tried-and-true beauty staples are from the drugstore! I've been wanting to do a post on this for quite some time, because there are some major recommendations that have been piling up in my beauty cabinets that I really wanted to share with you guys!
First of all, one that's a little bit off the beaten track: a multivitamin. We all know that beauty comes from the inside, but that's true literally as well as figuratively! Vitamin deficiencies can cause all sorts of health problems, from hair loss (Vitamin D) to dry skin (Vitamins A, E and Biotin) to Eczema (Zinc)! Obviously, the best way to make sure you're getting enough is by eating a balanced diet, but it's also important to have a vitamin as backup! I know I've gone weeks without taking one (I know, bad habit) but I always feel better when I do. And being totally honest, I still take Flinstones. For some reason, I just never moved to adult vitamins, and they work for me!
Next, skincare! You guys know I use Simple Skincare all the time, but for this post, I decided to feature one of the first of their products that I tried: the cleansing facial wipes. They now have five different variations (plus eye makeup wipes!), but the Cleansing Facial Wipes and the Radiance Cleansing Wipes are my absolute favorites. This is a big travel months for me, and so is September, so I always make sure I have these stocked up when I'm facing long days ahead of me! (One less excuse to fall asleep in my makeup is always a big plus!)
And my body wash is almost always a drugstore brand! I fell in love with this Caress Vanilla & Sandalwood body wash, which is a whopping $3 and smells delicious. As body wash goes, that's basically all I need!
Finally, makeup! I tried COVERGIRL's new Whipped Creme Foundation for the first time a few weeks ago, and just love it. I usually alternate days between using my expensive foundation and a drugstore brand to make the bottle last longer, and this one is perfect for those days! It's really light and not at all greasy -- a huge plus when you're dealing with August Houston weather! And I've worn COVERGIRL Lip Perfection Lipstick for years -- since we lived in New York! I love experimenting with new beauty trends at the drug store, so I don't feel guilty about spending $30 on a lipstick and then wearing it once or twice (sigh)!
And last but not least, have you guys seen these nail polish remover pads? They're seriously amazing! I'm terrible at applying nail polish and my manicures always ship painfully quickly. I keep these in my desk and in my car so that when my polish starts to chip, I can get rid of it ASAP! They come in individual packets so they're easy to store anywhere you might need them, and perfect for travel!
