WORX 3 in 1 Cordless String Trimmer/Lawn Edger/Mini Mower

WORX 3 in 1 Cordless String Trimmer/Lawn Edger/Mini Mower

WORX · $110.81

This is the string trimmer we actually grab for the edges. It runs on a battery so there is no cord to drag, and it flips from trimmer to edger to a little mower so one tool handles the whole family's messy corners.

Why we chose it

The edges are where a yard either looks cared for or looks abandoned, and ours were firmly in the second camp. Our mower could never reach along the fence line, around the mailbox, or beside the flower bed the little ones planted, so those spots grew shaggy while the middle of the lawn looked fine. Dad kept saying he would get to them, and the weeds kept saying otherwise.

What finally fixed it was the WORX 3-in-1 Cordless String Trimmer, which trims, edges, and even converts into a tiny wheeled mower for the narrow strips our big mower cannot touch. That flexibility is perfect for a chaotic yard like ours — one tool, one battery, and suddenly the fence line and the sidewalk edge look intentional. Being cordless means Dad or our oldest can grab it for a ten-minute touch-up without dragging anything out of the shed.

We compared it against separate trimmers and edgers, and buying two tools cost more, stored worse, and meant twice the things to charge and maintain. The WORX 3-in-1 folded all of that into one light, easy-to-handle package at around a hundred and ten dollars, which felt like real value for a household that is already short on storage and patience. The wheeled edging mode is the sleeper feature — it keeps the lines crisp without the guesswork — and the whole thing is forgiving enough that trimming has quietly become a chore the older kids will actually volunteer for.
