Chad and I were flipping on television around the other night, and we wound up watching about half an hour of Pretty In Pink -- and it make me remember all the amazing eighties-style outfits that hit the fashion world basically out of nowhere, and then died out a few years later. Crimped hair? Shoulder pads? They didn't exactly stand the test of time, but man, were they fun while they lasted.

So as I was trying to match this cute little crop top to an outfit, I thought... what if I just dressed like a background character in an eighties movie? We've seen the resurgence of sixties-mod, seventies-glam, and nineties-grunge, so the eighties should be hitting right... about... now.

And even if they don't, I'm in love with all these fun, colorful pieces. These Foster Grant sunglasses have become such a favorite of mine -- I wear them all the time! It's funny how some pairs become your immediate go-to sunnies. I just fell in love with these!
