Ice Cream Giveaway!

May 26th, 2008

The lovely folks at Haagen Dazs have sent me some gift certificates that I am passing on to a few lucky readers!  Each certificate entitles you to one of their new Honey Bee products (like a pint of ice cream or a box of ice cream bars) absolutely free – redeemable at your local Haagen Dazs or supermarket (in the USA only).  I recently tried their Vanilla Honey Bee and it is awesome. But also, I really think it’s great when companies take an interest in preserving our natural resources — in this case, honey bees (as you can see, my dog Calvin was very interested in the honey bees too!). If you want to know more, click here to read about Haagen Dazs’ honey bee campaign (the link will open in a new window).

I have nine gift certificates, so I’m going to choose three random winners from each of my next three posts!  To win one this round, just leave a comment on this post telling me what your favorite Haagen Dazs flavor is (I think mine is the Vanilla Honey Bee!).  Leave your comment before Tuesday at 5 pm Eastern time, and I’ll announce the winners on Wednesday morning.

I really like their raspberry sorbet…it’s so refreshing and smooth.  As to the ice cream line, I don’t really know my favorite…chocolate chip cookie dough is ALWAYS good!

Chunky Monkey….but truthfully I haven’t tried many of their flavors.  Not a very wide selection where I live!

Thanks for the chance to win!

Wowza!! My favorite Haagen Dazs flavor would HAVE to be the raspberry sorbet – so refreshing, flavorful, and a perfect treat during the hot summer :0)

Mmm I’m with Quarterlife Girl… Haagen Dazs Dulce de Leche is like crack.  I actually don’t buy it very often because I know I’ll eat it waaaay too fast.

Haagen Dazs kicks Ben&Jerry’s where it hurts. And I should know since I worked at B& J’s for two summers during high school and have sampled every single flavor.  Even as an employee, rewarded with unlimited amounts of B&J ice cream for free, I still favored Haagen Dazs (Chocolate Peanut Butter is my favorite!). I would have worked at Haagen Daz, but was opposed to wearing maroon polos everyday. The ingredients are simple and sweet with no jazzy names. I once finished an entire pint of vanilla in one sitting! That’s impressive considering there weren’t even any goodies to dig for. Can’t wait to try Vanilla Honey Bee!

  • 33 Kim // May 27, 2008 at 3:59 pm

Ohh! Hard choice! Cherry Vanilla, Dulce de Leche and Pineapple coconut are all sooo tasty.

Honey vanilla bean sounds like it has quite a bit of potential too!

  • 34 chris // May 27, 2008 at 9:15 pm

  • 41 R. FARRELL // Jun 26, 2008 at 8:14 pm

I would mix Pistacitos (nuts LOL) with the honey yum….

  • 42 Lia // Jun 27, 2008 at 5:55 pm

I just have to put in my .02 worth… Actually $4.00 worth.  My absolutely favorite flavor is their Belgium Chocolate. The only problem is you can only get it in their stores and a single scoop is $4.  It is heaven though, so once in a while treat is a big YUM!!!

  • 43 choux // Jun 28, 2008 at 6:05 am

That’s the thing about Haagen Dazs, it can be pretty hard to find.

  • 44 Mary Gwen Lynch // Jul 16, 2009 at 6:58 am

Dulce de Leche is by far the best.  My friends and I used to buy EVERY carton in the store – and when every grocery store was sold out, we would sneak into each other’s houses at night and steal each other’s ice cream – so you would wake up excited aboutyour DDL ice cream and it would be gone!
I have to say, though, the honey bee ice cream is really really good, especially if you stir in a spoonful of peanut butter – sounds crazy, but its SOO good.

  • 45 Ashley // Dec 15, 2009 at 6:50 am

    Yum, definitely Dulce de Leche!
