Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
- 1 1/2 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
Directions
- Whisk the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large bowl. Pour in the heavy cream, then use a wooden spoon to stir softly until the dry mixture is just dampened. Tip the dough onto a lightly floured work surface. With your hands, fold it 1 or 2 times, just until it holds together, then pat it into an even 1/2-inch thickness. Cut biscuits with a 2-inch round cookie-cutter, placing the cuts as close together as you can. Bring the scraps together, pat them down, and cut additional biscuits. Throw away any scraps left after that.
- Bake the biscuits in a 400 degrees F oven until they puff and turn golden, about 12-15 minutes. Cool them just a bit, then serve warm.
