Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Heat the oven to 375 degrees F, then coat a 9 inch pie dish with grease.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk the flour with the baking soda and salt until the dry ingredients are evenly blended.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the butter with the brown sugar and sugar until the mixture turns pale and fluffy. Add the vanilla and egg, and beat again just until everything comes together.
  4. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, and beat only until the dough is combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Spread the dough into the prepared pie dish, pressing it into an even layer. Bake until the top is golden, about 20 minutes.
