White Chocolate Ice Cream with Nerds
Creamy white chocolate ice cream gets a playful candy crunch from colorful Nerds mixed in after churning.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 8 oz white chocolate, finely chopped
- 1/3 cup Nerds, assorted colors/flavors
Directions
- Whisk the yolks with the sugar until the mixture lightens to pale yellow, about 3-5 minutes. Combine that with the milk and cream in a medium saucepan, then cook over low heat, keeping your spoon moving, until the custard thickens and a finger swiped across the coated back of the spoon leaves a clear path.
- Place the white chocolate in a large bowl. Strain the hot custard into that bowl, then stir gently until the chocolate has melted completely into the base.
- Chill the ice cream base in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or let it rest overnight.
- Churn the base in your ice cream machine following the manufacturer's instructions. While it churns, set a medium mixing bowl in the freezer so it gets cold.
- Once the ice cream is done churning, transfer it from the machine to the chilled bowl and fold in the Nerds. Freeze until firm, 1 to 2 hours.
