Slow Cooker Cuban-Style Black Beans with Rice

Salt
Pepper
Bell pepper
Bay leaves
Cooked rice
Directions
Stir together all ingredients in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on high heat setting 8 hours or more, until beans are tender and most of the liquid is absorbed. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the salt and the chopped bell pepper. Continue cooking on low until ready to serve. Remove bay leaves. Serve beans over cooked rice.
