Ingredients
1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
2 tablespoons tahini
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon curry powder
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
3 tablespoons water
Optional garnish: chopped fresh parsley or cilantro
Directions
In the bowl of a food processor or heavy-duty blender, combine all of the ingredients. Puree until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed. Transfer to a serving bowl, and serve with crackers and/or fresh raw vegetables.
