Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a small baking dish with butter, 8, 9, or 10 inch pans will all work great. Place the sliced apples in the baking dish. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Toss with your hands. Combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt for the topping in a medium-size bowl. Add the softened butter and blend with a fork, spoon, or your fingers until crumbly. Sprinkle the topping over the apples and bake for 30-32 minutes, until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream. Enjoy!.
