How to make?
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons vegetable oil, plus more for frying
1/2 cup warm water
Oil, for deep frying
Directions
In a large bowl, combine the warm water, 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, and salt. Stir until the salt is dissolved. Add the flour to the bowl and mix until it forms a soft dough. Knead for about 5 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic. Cover with a damp cloth and let rest for 30 minutes. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each piece into a ball. On a lightly floured surface, roll out each ball into a thin circle about 6 inches in diameter. Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches 375°F . Gently place one of the circles of dough in the hot oil and fry for 1 minute on each side or until golden brown and puffed up. Remove from the oil with tongs or a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Repeat with remaining circles of dough. Serve hot or at room temperature with your favorite accompaniments such as chutney or yogurt sauce. Enjoy!.
