Ingredients

2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

1/2 cup warm water

1/2 cup sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled slightly

2 eggs, beaten

4 cups all purpose flour

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1/2 cup brown sugar

For the Frosting:

4 ounces cream cheese, softened

2 tablespoons butter, softened

2 cups powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Stir until combined. In a separate bowl, mix together the eggs, melted butter, and warm water. Add this mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until a soft dough forms. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5 minutes or until smooth and elastic. Place in an oiled bowl and cover with plastic wrap or a damp towel. Let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size. Punch down the dough and turn it out onto a lightly floured surface again. Roll it into an 18x12 inch rectangle. Spread softened butter over the top of the dough then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll up tightly from one of the long sides of the rectangle and cut into 12 slices using dental floss or thread . Place rolls on a greased baking sheet about 2 inches apart and let rise for 30 minutes or until doubled in size again. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F . Bake rolls for 15-20 minutes.
