, Ham bone, Onion, Carrots, Celery, Garlic cloves Soak the pinto beans overnight in cold water. Drain and rinse the beans. Place the ham bone in the Instant Pot and add enough water to cover it. Add the drained beans to the pot and stir to combine. Add the onion, carrots, celery and garlic cloves to the pot and stir again to combine. Close and lock the lid of the Instant Pot and set it to manual high pressure for 30 minutes. Make sure that the steam release valve is closed. When finished cooking, allow a natural pressure release for 10 minutes before releasing any remaining pressure manually by turning the steam release valve to venting position . Carefully open the lid of the Instant Pot and remove any large pieces of ham bone from soup with tongs or a slotted spoon before serving hot with your favorite toppings!.
