Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup packed light brown sugar

4 large eggs, at room temperature

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips, divided

1 cup dark chocolate chips or chunks

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F . Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan. In a medium bowl, combine dark chocolate chips or chunks and 1 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips. Set aside. In a large bowl, beat together the vanilla extract, eggs, brown sugar, granulated sugar, melted butter and salt until smooth and creamy. Stir in the baking powder and flour until just combined. Do not overmix! Gently fold in the reserved chocolate chips or chunks and remaining semi sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly with a spatula or spoon. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean with only a few moist crumbs attached. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars or squares for serving.
