a lime, 1 teaspoon of olive oil, 2 cloves of garlic, 1 teaspoon of freshly grated ginger, 2 tablespoons of fish sauce, 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of chili flakes Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and ginger and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the steak and cook for about 4 minutes per side or until cooked to your desired doneness. In a small bowl, mix together the fish sauce, brown sugar, chili flakes and juice from half a lime. Pour the mixture over the steak and cook for an additional minute or two until the sauce has thickened slightly. Serve on bánh mì rolls with lettuce, cucumber slices and cilantro leaves if desired.
