Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup diced onion
1/2 cup diced bell pepper
1/2 pound Italian sausage, casings removed
3 large eggs
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
3 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
3 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F . Grease a 9-inch pie plate with cooking spray. In a medium bowl, combine cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, salt, pepper, and garlic powder; set aside. In a separate bowl, whisk together heavy cream and eggs until combined; set aside. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add Italian sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Add bell pepper and onion; cook until vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes more. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before adding to egg mixture. Pour egg mixture into prepared pie plate and top with sausage mixture and cheese mixture. Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until center is set and top is golden brown. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!.
