, Firm Tofu, Sesame Oil, Soy Sauce, Brown Sugar Drain the tofu and press it between two plates with a heavy object on top for 10 minutes to remove excess water. Cut the tofu into 1/2-inch thick slices. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add sesame oil. Once the oil is hot, add the tofu slices in a single layer and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce and brown sugar until combined. Pour this mixture over the tofu slices and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce has reduced and thickened slightly. Serve warm with steamed rice or vegetables of your choice!.
