Preheat oven to 350 degrees F .
Spread butter on the inside of each French roll. Place rolls on a baking sheet and bake in preheated oven for 5 minutes or until lightly toasted.
Divide roast beef among the rolls and top with Swiss cheese slices. Bake in preheated oven for an additional 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
