Preheat oven to 425°F.
In a large bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of sugar and ½ teaspoon of salt.
Cut in 6 tablespoons of cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse meal.
Add ¾ cup of cold water and mix with a fork until the dough comes together.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it gently for about 30 seconds until it forms a ball.
Roll the dough out to ½ inch thick and cut into rounds using a biscuit cutter or drinking glass dipped in flour .
Place biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown on top.
Serve warm with butter or honey!.
