Ingredients

4 large Meyer lemons

2 cups of granulated sugar

1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

2 tablespoons of butter

1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg

Directions

Begin by washing and drying the Meyer lemons. Cut them into thin slices, discarding any seeds. In a medium saucepan, combine the lemon slices, sugar, butter, lemon juice, nutmeg and cinnamon. Stir until all ingredients are well combined. Place the pan over medium-high heat and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 25 minutes or until the mixture thickens slightly and becomes syrupy. Remove from heat and let cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a jar or container with an airtight lid. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Enjoy!.
