Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 carrot, diced
1 celery stalk, diced
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
3 cups vegetable broth or water
2 cans crushed tomatoes
1 can tomato sauce
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 tablespoons vegan Worcestershire sauce
3/4 cup vegan ground beef crumbles
Salt and black pepper to taste
Directions
Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onion, celery, carrot, and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the vegan ground beef crumbles and cook for an additional 3 minutes. Stir in the tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce , tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes, vegetable broth or water, red pepper flakes , basil, oregano, salt and black pepper to taste. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes or until thickened. Serve over your favorite pasta with vegan parmesan cheese if desired! Enjoy!.
