Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F . Grease cookie sheets. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract. Combine the chili powder, cumin, cocoa powder, salt, baking soda, and flour; gradually stir into the creamed mixture until just blended. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheets. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
