Ingredients

1 pound bacon, diced

1 large onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

3 cans pork and beans

1/2 cup ketchup

1/4 cup packed brown sugar

2 tablespoons yellow mustard

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon chili powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

In a large container, whisk together 2 quarts water and salt until salt has dissolved. Add beans, cover, and let stand overnight at room temperature. Drain and rinse beans.
